NAD+ IV Drip Therapy: Wellness Biohacking or BS?
May 30, 2025
Ever felt so knackered that even the idea of a spa day feels exhausting?
That was me. Juggling crazy work, life, solo parenting, a house sale, the mental load, and still trying to drink enough water! (My houseplants are gasping…) My head was foggy, my body was tired, and my nervous system felt like it had been on high alert for far too long. So when I heard about NAD+ IV drips—vitamin infusions delivered straight into your bloodstream—I thought, you know what? What have I got to lose?!
So I had one, in my actual sitting room.
Yes, really.
And if your brain just went, “That sounds very Estelle Manor meets Hollywood housewife,” you’re not wrong. I used to think IV drips were for hungover celebs and women who float between reformer Pilates and matcha lattes at Claridge’s spa. But listen—this one was different. Refined, next-level, doctor-led, and very much for us real women who are ready to feel better and do better. Women who are in their growth era. (Also: women who are bloody tired.)
I’d seen the LA wellness girlies raving about it, but honestly? This felt like one of those things that was either going to be a bougie waste of time or a full-on reset.
Spoiler: it was the reset.
So, what actually is NAD+?
I am a nerd, but before I pretend I’m your biology teacher—here’s the short version.
NAD+ stands for Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (don’t worry, no quiz at the end), and it’s basically this magical coenzyme in your cells that keeps you functioning like a semi-sane human being. It helps with:
- Energy production (yes please)
- Focus and brain clarity (imagine!)
- Metabolism
- Cell repair
- Ageing less like an iPhone battery in year three
Low NAD+ = low energy, brain fog, fatigue; that weird constant tired-but-wired feeling. The “why can’t I remember what I came upstairs for” vibes.. All far from ideal.
So an NAD+ IV drip? That’s like plugging your entire body into a charger. Direct to the bloodstream. No messing about with supplements and green sludge. Just a medical-grade boost, delivered to your front door. Literally.
My experience: drips, doctors and that weird sensation
I had mine done by Dr. Randeep Bhella from IV at Home, and he was brilliant. Not a nurse. A proper doctor (not someone who did a weekend wellness course in Ibiza).
He arrived at mine, set up in my sitting room, and was the calmest presence. He explained everything, did all the checks, and hooked me up with one of those “sharp scratch” situations. Didn’t hurt. Nothing scary. Just professional, clean, and a bit next-level.
I had the standard NAD+ Drip. The actual drip felt a bit weird in my chest and stomach—like something was gently tickling my insides. Not painful, just a bit odd. Ten minutes later, I felt lightheaded, had a few sips of water, and was absolutely fine.
Then, here’s the bit I didn’t expect, I felt like a calmer, clearer version of myself. That low-level “I think I’m getting ill” sensation I’d had the night before and all morning? Vanished. Headache? Gone. Coincidence? Maybe. But I'm not complaining.
The bit I didn’t expect: the chat
Dr. Bhella and I ended up talking—not just about supplements and cells—but about energy, mindset, and why this stuff isn’t “woo,” it’s biology. We were completely on the same page: self-responsibility, nervous system regulation, not sitting in victim mode waiting for someone to come and rescue you.
Most people have no idea how powerful their energy is. But when you stop outsourcing your power and start showing up as the version of yourself you're becoming—not the version that’s just barely coping—everything shifts. And not in a “Pinterest quote” kind of way. In a your health, your home, your entire life kind of way.
It was one of those moments where I thought: yep, of course we know the same people. Of course we’re both working with women who are ready for more. Because when you're on a growth path—when you're building a life that actually feels like yours, you naturally connect with people on the same frequency. That’s just how energy works.
Why this isn’t just a trend
Look, I’m not here to flog you snake oil. I’m here to tell you what actually felt good—deep-in-your-bones good. Like my nervous system went, “Ohhh thank god.” A reminder to invest in my health—not just the bits people see, but the foundations underneath. The stuff that keeps me showing up.
After a huge season of personal change, I’ve never been more committed to prioritising my wellbeing. Not just the lovely bits like magnesium baths and massages (although yes, obviously)—but real, doctor-led support. Stuff that actually works.
Because this work—building a life you’re proud of, one that reflects your values, your vision, your boundaries—it requires energy. It requires clarity. And it requires a nervous system that’s not in constant survival mode.
Prioritising your wellbeing isn’t a luxury. Like decluttering the crap that no longer serves you, it’s the base layer for everything. You stop reacting. You get intentional. You make better choices. And your whole energy—your home, your relationships, your reality—shifts with you.
So yes, I’m into the bougie drips now. But not for the status. For the sustainability.
